هيئة التقييس لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية هيئة إقليمية تضم في عضويتها أجهزة التقييس الوطنية في الدول الأعضاء ، ومن مهام الهيئة إعداد المواصفات القياسية واللوائح الفنية الخليجية بواسطة لجان فنية متخصصة.

قررت اللجنة الوزارية لهيئة التقييس لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية في الاجتماع الـ (4) بتاريخ 1444/03/23 هـ ،الموافق 2022/10/19م اعتماد تحديث ترجمة اللائحة الفنية الخليجية رقم GSO 2333:2022 وعنوانها "اشتراطات الادعاءات الصحية والتغذوية على المنتجات الغذائية " إلى اللغة الانجليزية التي تم دراستها ضمن برنامج عمل اللجنة الفنية الفرعية الخليجية لمواصفات الأغذية العضوية والوظيفية والمحورة وراثياً (TC05-SC3) المدرجة في خطة المملكة العربية السعودية . ويعتبر النص العربي هو المرجع الأساس في حال وجود اختلاف بين النصين. على أن تلغي وتحل محل اللائحة الفنية رقم GSO 2333:2013 .

Foreword

GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) is a regional organization which consists of the national standardization bodies of GCC member states. One of GSO main functions is to issue gulf standards and technical regulations through specialized technical committees.

GSO Ministerial Committee in its meeting number (4) held on 23/03/1444 H, which corresponds to 19/10/2022, has approved the update of the translation of Gulf Technical Regulation GSO 2333:2022 titled "Requirements for Health and Nutrition Claims on Food Products" in English language which was studied through the technical program of GSO Technical Subcommittee for Organic, Functional and Genetically-modified Food (TC05-SC3) in SAUDI ARABIA schedule . (Arabic) text is considered the official text in case of any conflicts between the two. This document will cancel and replace the Gulf Technical Regulation GSO 2333:2013.

Requirements for Health and Nutrition Claims on Food Products

1 Scope

1.1 This standard is concerned with the permitted health, and nutrition claims and the conditions applying to them if being considered for use in the labelling or advertising of foods to be delivered to the final consumer.

1.2 This standard is intended to supplement the Recommendation of Nutrition and Health claims and General Guidelines on Claims. It does not apply to claims such as suitable for diabetics, gluten free, special medical purpose, foods for particular nutritional uses or other claims aimed at consumers with specific disorders.

1.3 Nutrition and health claims shall not be permitted for foods for infants and young children except if it is comply for the requirements of these products.

3 Definitions

3.1

Claim:

any message or representation, which is not mandatory under Community or national legislation, including pictorial, graphic or symbolic representation, in any form, which states, suggests or implies that a food has particular characteristics.

3.2

Health claim:

any claim that states, suggests or implies that a relationship exists between a food category, a food or one of its constituents and health.

3.3

Nutrition claim:

any claim that states, suggests or implies that a food has particular beneficial nutritional properties.
